Running is a great individual sport that you can do with friends. The primary mission of Wake Forest Area Runners (WFAR) is to enhance the local endurance sport community by hosting and sponsoring group runs and other events.
WFAR invites runners and walkers of all abilities to join us at our group runs which are currently scheduled Tuesday and Thursday nights. Please check our Group Calendar for times, locations, and maps of the group runs. Through our Facebook page you can connect with other members who have similar goals or interests for you to train with.
Members participate in a wide variety of events including 5k, 10k, 10 mile, half marathon, marathon, and ultra-marathons. Also many members participate in sprint triathlons, triathlons, and half iron-man events. Our goal – socializing and making friends with like-minded people who like to be active and outdoors.
